What a Reference Stack is
For a single SKU, a Reference Stack would bundle:
- an installer or image with exact component versions;
- a supported runtime/model matrix, scoped to what was actually qualified;
- an acceptance suite that verifies an installation before use;
- recovery and rollback procedures;
- a revalidation policy defining which changes require re-qualification.
The verdicts behind a Reference Stack apply only to that exact configuration — not to the device in general.
The gate
This becomes a product only when two independent prospects request it and at least one pays for setup, and a clean-machine installation has been reproduced by another operator. Until then, qualification work continues through the commercial services.
If your team wants a maintained configuration for a specific SKU, request a scope — that request is exactly the demand signal the gate measures.
